Demo v0.0.5
Mazestalker - The demo » Devlog
Compared to the last Demo-Update this one is much more sustantial.
- The battle system has been revised with a semi-hitstop to give the player better readability of what's going on
- Keyboard controls have been added ( WASD + N + M )
- Chickens now interact with the player
- You can now bounce around on beds
- Reqorked pushing blocks from the ground up ( I am aware it sitll has some bugs )
- A new feature has been added that gives little bonuses for exploring
- Transparancy feature has been added for elements that cover Yve
- Water now interacts with the player
- Equipment item icons have been reworked
- Trap music has been added
- The final trap should be fixed for good. No more having to repeat that room after the traps are active
- Death now leads to Exit-screen
- Fixed a bug where a button colored a door
- Fixed some dialogue typos
- Improved collision for shop-items
- Fixed that enemies were showing numbers even when dead
- Added sound-effects to many interactions
- Made it so you actually have to jump on top of buttons
- Fixed some geometry problems I was aware of
- Adjusted collision so you can't open chests from a level lower
That was a lot of work, but I want to thank everyone who provided valuable feedback. Of course I also developed more content for the game itself, a lot of these improvements come from the larger game I work on. I still want to make sure the Demo is always as polished as possible.
Apologies for the lack of a settings menu. The sound is too loud and I am sure people want to reconfigure the keyboard keys. I want to implement settings in the future!
